About this creation
"Forme de la République Centrafricaine - Bangui" is a GPS art route mapped in Bangui, Central African Republic that reproduces the country's shape on the capital's streets. This part of Central African Republic has the kind of grid that keeps the shape recognisable once it's recorded on a watch.
The route covers 27.6 km, roughly 2h46 at an easy running pace, which makes it a longer run. Every turn follows real roads from OpenStreetMap: Draw My Loop's snapping algorithm keeps the outline on the actual street network.
Grab the GPX file, push it to a watch via Strava or Garmin Connect, and head out. Once the activity is recorded, the drawing shows up on the map automatically. You can also fork this route from the map and adapt it to your own neighbourhood before exporting.
