About this creation
Mapped out in Ghent, Belgium, this GPS art represents a drawing under the name "THE GHENT DRAGON". The neighbourhood suits this kind of shape: the street layout gives the routing algorithm enough room to honour the outline without cutting corners.
The route covers 13.0 km, roughly 39 min at an easy cycling pace, which makes it a short ride. Every turn follows real roads from OpenStreetMap: Draw My Loop's snapping algorithm keeps the outline on the actual street network.
The GPX file is available on the page. Import it into Strava, Garmin Connect or Komoot, follow it with a watch or phone, and the drawing reappears on the recorded activity. You can also fork this route from the map and adapt it to your own neighbourhood before exporting.
